1. Policy Statement
Hansards Resourcing Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business operations and supply chains. We are fully supportive of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will take all necessary steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business or in our supply chains.
We operate with transparency and integrity and expect the same high standards from all our employees, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
2. About the Company
Hansards Resourcing Ltd is a payroll company specialising in services for the private healthcare sector across the United Kingdom. While we consider our business to be low risk regarding modern slavery, we recognise that healthcare and outsourced services may involve supply chains where risks are heightened, particularly with temporary or agency staff.
3. Our Commitments
Hansards Resourcing Ltd will:
- Comply with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Conduct due diligence to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not occurring in our supply chains.
- Ensure our recruitment and employment practices are fair, lawful, and ethical.
- Promote awareness among staff and stakeholders about the risks of modern slavery.
- Take prompt action if we suspect any instances of modern slavery or trafficking.
4. Due Diligence Processes
To identify and mitigate risks, we:
- Perform background checks on new suppliers and partners.
- Ensure suppliers and subcontractors adhere to ethical employment practices.
- Require that all labour used in the delivery of our services is voluntarily given.
- Do not tolerate the use of forced, bonded or involuntary labour, or child labour.
- Monitor recruitment agencies to ensure their practices are legal and transparent.
5. Employment Practices
Hansards Resourcing Ltd ensures that:
- All employees are entitled to work in the UK.
- Employees are paid at least the national minimum wage or national living wage.
- No employee is required to pay recruitment fees.
- Employees receive contracts of employment outlining their rights and obligations.
- Grievance mechanisms are in place and accessible.
6. Supplier and Contractor Expectations
We expect all suppliers, agencies, and business partners to share our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery. All third parties must:
- Comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Avoid the use of forced or child labour.
- Maintain transparent recruitment processes.
- Cooperate with our audits or due diligence enquiries when required.
7. Training and Awareness
We provide training and guidance to relevant staff to help them:
- Understand the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Know how to report concerns.
- Understand the company’s responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act.
8. Reporting Concerns
Any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery must be reported to a line manager or via email to: info@hansardsresourcing.com. All reports will be treated seriously and investigated promptly and sensitively.
9. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed annually or when legislation changes, and updated as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
